An ending just like a Bond movie
On New Year’s Eve in 2023 we played a James Bond themed party at the Art Deco Hotel Montana overlooking the city and lake of Lucerne / Switzerland. A perfect James Bond movie set.
But first we had to pick some of the most memorable songs of the James Bond franchise and immediately the question popped up on how to play all those string & horn arrangements with just a four-piece band (guitar/bass/drums/sax).
My mottos came in handy again:
serve the song
forget the original
reduce to the max
Four songs made it on the final playlist: Goldeneye, Skyfall, Tomorrow Never Dies and - Goldfinger - Apple Music | YouTube Music by Shirley Bassey.
If a song has a very distinctive melody line and of course the special James Bond flavour, you can perform it on a acoustic guitar and it still works.

Daily livestream on YouTube grinds to a halt
I stopped my daily livestream on my YouTube channel called - Zonx & Flavas - because I’m frustrated with the sound quality. I didn’t change anything on my setup. But now I have a muffled noise-canceling kind of sound - annoying as hell!!!
I don’t know what app update caused this (probably a beta or even worse version), but until I find a solution I won’t continue my livestreams - what a bummer.
