Sunday gospel on a Thursday afternoon

To be honest, I performed much better versions of - Hand It Over - Apple Music | YouTube Music by Keb’ Mo’ on other occasions.

I can literally see and feel the decisions I’m making while performing. If this would be in a club or at a party situation I would be much more adventurous than here recording my Substack Sessions. Which is ridiculous because I can stop and restart the performance endlessly. But on stage a train wreck can happen at any time.

So there you have it. I’ve still got a long way to go performing a song with a great laid-back and loose feel without a wandering mind distracting me from a great take.
