This song is/was a mystery to me. The chord changes and melody are so unique …and of course Aretha!
When I‘m writing a song I always want to create something special. I describe it in my song ‚Until It’s Done‘ that I wrote thirty years ago in my first steps as a songwriter. Two chords that normally wouldn‘t go together well - C major / G minor - work perfectly when you got the right melody.
Right now I’m very busy helping my wife with her newly opened Hotel & Coffeehouse where I‘m performing every Sunday. But I definitely want to get back into writing and releasing my own original songs.
